FLAGSTAFF — Anti-ICE protesters braved a chilly and breezy Friday afternoon to take part in a nationwide demonstration in response to a federal immigration crackdown in Minnesota.

Taking positions in front of the Flagstaff City Hall, the majority of protesters waved a variety of anti-ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) signs on Jan. 23, 2026.

The local protest was organized by Indivisible Northern Arizona in response to ICE activity in Minneapolis, Minn., which included the shooting death of immigrant supporter and ICE watcher Renee Nicole Good on Jan. 7, 2026.

“Thank you to everyone who turned out today in solidarity with Minnesota! Our volunteer counted 550 people at the height of the protest,” Indivisible reported on its Facebook webpage.

The group’s demands include:

**ICE must leave Minnesota now – ICE is not welcome in Arizona.

**The officer who killed Renee Good must be held legally accountable.

**No additional federal funding for ICE in the upcoming Jan. 30th Congressional budget and ICE should be investigated for human and Constitutional violations of Americans and our neighbors.

We call upon MN and national companies to become 4th Amendment businesses, cease economic relations with ICE and refuse ICE entry or using their property for staging grounds.

We especially call on Target, Home Depot, Delta, Hilton and Enterprise to take a stand against ICE and to do more to protect our communities from ICE.

A steady stream of passing vehicles honked their horns in support of the local protesters. Minnesota protesters held their own economic shutdown on Friday, with clergy protesters blocking the road leading to the local airport, capped by protesters marching to downtown Minneapolis in minus 20 degree weather. Supporting protests were also held state and nationwide.
